EXTRACTS FROM THE FOREWORD:

I would not want anyone to read this anthology without putting on the proper glasses. The Introduction by Dr. Chakraborti and Anand is essential reading on the history and development of Indian poetry written in English. In final analysis, though, I think they would want this collection to be simply a celebration of fifty-two poets with fifty-two distinct voices. This is a dense, ambitious, and important book of poetry, and I believe it adequately demonstrates that Indian poets writing in English have invented for themselves a secure place in world poetry.

We congratulate the poets whose poetry has found way into this path-breaking anthology of Pan-India poetry at the beginning of 21st Century.
